I loved taking this class 2 years ago. I love how clearly it is formatted and the opportunity to actually sit down and be forced to develop familiarity with new technologies. It is something that I would, of course, love to do, but naturally just don't always have the time to do. This forces me to do so.
I have hardly scratched the surface of the google apps and I know there is so much opportunity awaiting there so I am so excited to familiarize myself. In the age of formative assessment, I am also excited for those sessions and excited to discover ways to increase my knowledge of my students' knowledge.
I am quite comfortable with technology, but there is always plenty to learn. I use google classroom in my classroom every day. The chromebooks are out and in use all day long. I use google forms for exit slips and students create and collaborate on docs, slides, and google drawings. We use mastery manager for all of our common formative assessments through our PLC. I also use goobric and doctopus for many writing assignments.
Thanks for joining us again this summer, Michelle! It sounds like you've done some great things already with your students. I am excited to see what you come up with during nerd camp!
